Tai Chi

Tai Chi as a disciplined daily practice

Tai Chi is more than a sequence of movements. It is a discipline of posture, breathing, balance, attention, and inner calm. Through regular and careful practice, students discover how softness creates structure and how precision creates confidence in the body. At AMO, Tai Chi is presented with respect for tradition while remaining clear and practical for modern online learning.

"Calm in the mind, precision in the body, continuity in the practice."

Dragon Style

The Origin of the Dragon Style

The Dragon style of Chinese martial arts traces its roots to the Shaolin monasteries of the Song Dynasty. Unlike hard, external styles, Dragon Kung Fu emphasises fluid, spiraling power, drawing energy from the core and releasing force through relaxed limbs. AMO teaches this lineage with attention to its philosophical roots: stillness before movement and awareness before action.

"A dragon does not force its way — it finds the path of water."

Internal Arts

Breathing as the Foundation of Martial Power

In every discipline taught at AMO — Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Wing Chun — correct breathing is the non-negotiable foundation. Shallow breathing contracts the body, inhibits relaxation, and blocks the flow of internal energy. AMO lessons begin with breathwork: slow diaphragmatic breathing that anchors the nervous system and prepares the body for precise, powerful movement.

"Before the form, there is breath. Before the breath, there is silence."
